Artur Aleksanyan and Maxim Manukyan, who brought Armenia gold medals from 2017 World Championship held in Paris, France, have received a special prize from a Moscow-based Armenian businessman.

Edgar Adamyan, who closely followed the competitions, decided to offer the sportsmen his personal gift – passenger cars, the National Olympic Committee’s website reports.

The champions received the award in a special ceremony led by Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Hrachya Rostomyan (who is also the Committee’s secretary general).

“I am very excited and full of emotions. I was there, following the matches as our guys were battling on the playground. And I was their passionate fan, crying out their names all the time,” said the businessman.

Rostomyan highly appreciated his generous move, thanking the businessman for his attitude and attention.

“It was a moment of happiness for me as our guys do really deserve the honor. Being appreciated is among the best feelings a human being can possibly have. It is a pleasure to know that people like Edgar Aramyan have the desire to offer their assistance to our sportsmen. Victories of the kind are really important for our country,” he said.

At the end of the ceremony, the sportsmen also extended their gratitude to the businessmen.
